Get Into The ACT!What's Your Cancellation Policy?

SOK reserves the right to cancel any class with insufficient enrollment.  Deposit/tuition for only these classes will be refunded in full.  All other deposits are non-refundable.  Students who drop a class are not reimbursed for completed classes.

This Class Requires an Adult - Do I Pay Tuition?

Adults who are required to participate in order for their child to enroll do not pay an additional tuition, but they do attend all classes.

Which Class Is Right For Me or My Child?

All classes come with age/grade level recommendations.  If there isn't a class that works with your schedule, or you aren't sure which class is the best choice, feel free to give us a call at 608-758-1451 and we will put you in touch with a teacher who can help you make the right decision.

What Are the Classes Like?

Each class is different every time.  Teachers work with the students to create a class that meets their needs and is appropriate for their skill/experience level.  Even if this is your third or forth time around, we assure you a new adventure with every class!  New to performing arts classes?  If you are unsure if you would like to participate in one of our classes, feel free to sign-up, pay only the $10 deposit, and make your decision after the first class.

What Do You Offer for Financial Aid/Payment Plans?

Payment options are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.  All students are eligible for financial aid, but a $10 deposit is required for all classes.  For more on scholarships or our work-study program, call 608-758-1451 or visit our Financial Aid page.  Payment plans do not have to be arranged at time of enrollment, but please feel free to discuss your options with us prior to the first day of class.

General Class Information for Parents

1.      Please use the back door of the Olde Towne Mall if your class starts after 6:00 pm or if you are picking up your child after 6:00 pm.  The front doors will be closed and locked.

2.      Please tell your child to NOT use the elevator.  If he/she needs to use it, an adult must accompany her/him.  Remind you child that this is an office building – please be quiet when entering and leaving.

3.      If you bring other siblings, please do NOT let them run around – it’s highly dangerous, especially on the 2nd floor.  Also, we need to respect the other tenants.

4.      Send a water bottle with your child – make sure her/his name is on it.  If you bring any food and/or soda into the Olde Towne Mall, you must clean up after yourself.  Please eat in the lower Atrium area where tables are set up.

5.      Everyone must take off his or her shoes in the studio (even parents, thank you!).

6.      We do a lot of class activities on the floor – make sure your child is appropriately dressed.  No skirts or dresses, for example.  Hair should be pulled back away from their face.

7.      Parents may stay in the studio during class ONLY if their children and the teacher say it’s okay, but please be aware that most classes are closed to observers.  You are always welcome to wait in the Atrium or outside the Studio on the second floor if you want to stay during the class.

 8.      Please come up to the studio a few minutes before class ends; sometimes we can show you a few things we’ve done.

9.      Ask your children after each class if they received a handout or if they have something to work on for class.  Some classes require extra practice at home.

10.  Students will be receiving folders from us; make sure this folder comes back to each class.

11.  Ask if they have to work on something for the week.  If they are in a performance class, they should be reading OUT LOUD every day – slowly and carefully – for at least 10 minutes.

12.  Please park your car and come into the Mall to pick up your children.  We don’t like letting them go out the back door unsupervised.
