The adult off-shoot of SpotLight On Kids, footlights productions, was created to provide a theatrical outlet for adults in the greater Rock County community.  Although both SOK and footlights pride themselves on producing high-quality and thought-provoking work, footlights' shows are meant for the mature audience, while SOK focuses on material suitable for the whole family.

February 1998 marked footlights' debut production, A...My Name Is Alice, directed by Colleen Burns.  Michael Chase's direction of Godspell followed in April 1999.  A Mid-Summer Night's Dream at Rotary Gardens in August 1999 was not only footlights' first venture into producing Shakespeare, but it was also the first Shakespearean production to take place in Janesville in modern times.  In August 2000, footlights marked its second Shakespeare in the Park production at Rotary Gardens with A Comedy of Errors.  More recently, we produced Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in July 2001 at the Edgerton Performing Arts Center and FAME, the Musical in August 2006 (also at EPAC), and You're a Good Man Charlie Brown in March 2007 at UW-Rock County's Kirk Denmark Theatre.  Click here for a full production history.
